After 32 days Obama has deigned to make photo op at oil spill.



Many expected him to part the oil from the water as Obamasiah. Others though he would turn to the sea and yell SHAZAM!. A few thought he would turn on the Bat Signal for help. Alas they were all wrong. As they brought King Canute's throne to the water edge and Canute commanded the tide to recede, so in Louisiana they brought the TOTUS ( Teleprompter Of The United States) to the water edge and the Obamasiah spaketh. He "took responsibility" but with an asterick; his administration failed him but it was mainly because Bush had so ill prepared for this catastrophe and he, The Messiah, had inherited this 'mess'.

By the way, where does the government get the money to fund all these immensely useful programs? According to a Fox News poll earlier this year, 65 per cent of Americans understand that the government gets its money from taxpayers, but 24 per cent think the government has “plenty of its own money without using taxpayer dollars.” You can hardly blame them for getting that impression in an age in which there is almost nothing the state won’t pay for.

THE AGE OF OBAMA

This week Pres. Obama gave commencement address at West Point. As usual his speech, as spun out on his teleprompter, was about himself. After describing how bad off the world he inherited was, he listed the solutions that he was implementing to save the planet. Cadets gave only polite applause as he praised himself. He and his writers had expected wild enthusiasm from the Cadets; so much so that after he listed his accomplishments the teleprompter text had a pause for applause and then his humble follow-up line “ Wow, that was a lot of cheering.” But since there was no cheering he skipped the line but it remained in the pinted text that came from teleprompter. I am sure all those cadets begin their military careers with a black spot on their records. They never forget; I had a notation entered in my 201 file after I had some critical remarks I made to the Secretary of Defence published. They never forget.

Arizona Univ. Graduation School of Social Studies had Chicano Study Professor as graduation speaker. She ripped her version of the new Arizona Immigration Law up and down. Had not read law but knew what it meant. Never mentioned graduates. Honor students cheered wildly. Mediocre students sat there. But, the parents booed so constantly the dean had to ask for civil discourse ( he of course was ignoring that she was insulting them and calling them racists). Best line was an adult shouting “ get a haircut” which drew wild acclamation. She looked like she had a beaver clamped on her head.

New 6th grade social study text covers Declaration of Independence thus. “Furthering the concept that all men are created equal the Declaration” , totally ignoring that this is the FIRST ever political declaration that ‘all men are created equal’. And then moves on quote “ that they are endowed by their .... with certain unalienable rights”. See if you can remember the word that used to be where .... is? School district says certain words cannot be used in text or discussion because it might make some uncomfortable or excluded.

Senate has introduced bill today to have the words “mentally retarded” banned from all new federal laws and all existing laws are to combed for the offending words and are to be replaced by politically correct verbage.

Canada, the world capital of PC, has canceled the re-enactment of the crucial battle on the Plains of Abraham, in 1759, where Wolfe defeated Montcalm and Canada became British and France was banished from the New World ( I am sure you all remember this from elementary school [both mom and I do ]) but now Canada fears the re-enactment would offend Canadians of French descent. Canceling the event is equal to cancelling Gettysburg re-enactment in U.S. Canada already eliminated teaching about it is school.

Once that’s system up and running, they’ll be able to teach the Second World War without any complicating factors. Likewise, those soi-disant “Church of England” schools in Yorkshire where every student is Muslim will soon be able to resume teaching the Crusades, albeit from a fresh perspective.

From Australia Times ; “TIBETAN spiritual leader the Dalai Lama says he's a Marxist, yet credits capitalism for bringing new freedoms to China, the communist country that exiled him. "Still I am a Marxist," the exiled Tibetan Buddhist leader said in New York, where he arrived today with an entourage of robed monks and a heavy security detail to give a series of paid public lectures.
"(Marxism has) moral ethics, whereas capitalism is only how to make profits," the Dalai Lama, 74, said.”
Said he loves Obama who triumphed in a viciously racist America. Moral ethics killed 100 million people, including his Tibetans, but it is still morally superior to capitalism. You can see why he loves Obama and Obama loves him, both intellectually and morally blind. By the way is his “heavy security detail” there to protect him from moral marxists, terrible capitalists or deranged Tea Partiers?

As every school child knew in my day, both Wolfe and Montcalm died in the battle. Reality really does bite!

OBAMA RAISES LYING TO AN ART FORM

Budget Director Peter Orszag, grilled about Obama’s pledge not to raise middle-class taxes, left the president wiggle room. Lloyd Grove reports.
Remember President Obama’s supposedly inviolable pledge—repeatedly uttered during the 2008 campaign and at countless town meetings since the inauguration—that he would never raise taxes on middle-class citizens who earn $250,000 a year or less?
This morning at a Manhattan breakfast sponsored by Thomson Reuters, White House Budget Director Peter Orszag threw that pledge out the window. Instead, he described Obama’s “read my lips, no new taxes” pledge as a “stance” and a “preference” that is subject to study by the president’s newly-formed bipartisan Commission on Fiscal Responsibility.
“The president has been very clear about what he prefers,” Orszag said under questioning from Thomson Reuters’ Chrystia Freeland

Lying as an art form. Obama repeatedly and publically swore 95% of Americans would not see a "dimes increase" in their taxes.

City Council hears request from High School seniors in Ap Government class to pass ordinance banning all smoking in vehicles passing through town if there are any minors passengers in vehicle. Logic is ‘ driver has no constitutional right to inflict grievous bodily harm on passengers”. They proposed this ordinance because the City Council had already usurped them and passed an ordinance banning ‘texting while driving’ before the class could introduce their urgent plea to prevent that new social ill. Other towns banning salt, soda , sugar, “Big Macs, ice cream, doughnuts and God knows what else. Of course we all know smokers are criminals. There is no end to sticking noses in other peoples business or pleasure.

Kagan's nomination

Kagan's nomination is absolute post-post-modern egalitarian brilliance by President Obama. Devoid of a single meaningful accomplishment in a life spanning over five decades (which is remarkable given her Upper West Side and Harvard pedigree), she's the poster child of the anti-exceptionalist.
Her nomination itself signifies the end to an America that differentiates itself based on achievement, quality, uniqueness, drive, character and intelligence. She's the UnterMensch, the antithesis to Nietzsche's differential aspirations. She's the interchangeable part, the anonymous cog, the anonymous participant that is important only through Empire's proclamation. Lacking an Obama appointment, she'd retire a nameless, accomplishmentless being only known for her proclivity for cats.
Conservatives have completely underestimated this President. He's rewriting America on a completely deeper level, changing its fundamental hermeneutic meaning and sociological values. Bravo to the President for his brazen effort expressed through this nomination!

Need to cover Obama’s butt:

The Liberal Press advise to Obama on oil spill: “So what does this mean for the president? It means that he had better cut a more vigorous and public figure along the Gulf — stat — and give the appearance of taking charge of the disaster, while operationally doing no such thing.” And who if not this president is good at giving appearances but doing nothing of substance. Ordinarily this ‘crisis’ would be made for a personality like Obama.

Education and the forked tongue


Routinely Education Advocates claim that only higher pay can draw ‘the best and the brightest’ into teaching, and in fact even higher ‘combat pay’ is necessary to draw these super-teachers into the inner city schools. But, the same advocates uniformly oppose ‘merit pay’ or charter schools as unfair to both teachers and students. It is unfair to demand success in teaching for the excess pay need to attract the ‘best and brightest’. Would such standards hold in any situation other than government work? I think the following letter would make any educator squirm if they had a conscience.

Dear Ms. Floyd:
One of your organization’s spokeswomen (speaking today on WTOP radio) explained that performance-based pay for teachers is “unfair” to teachers. The proffered reason is that so much of a child’s intellectual development is affected by home environment, neighborhood influences, and other factors outside of teachers’ control that it is impossible to determine each teacher’s success or failure simply by measuring changes over time in the academic abilities of that teachers’ students.
Fair point. But if it’s true that teachers have so little influence over their students’ learning that it’s “unfair” to tie teacher pay to the measured academic performance of their students, then what’s the use of public schooling? If what students learn or don’t learn is largely outside of the influence of their schoolteachers, why spend all of these resources, year after year, on government schools? Why continue to fund schools if children are so impervious to the fruits of formal education that any amount of knowledge that might actually take hold in their minds as a result of their schooling is too small to be measured?
In short, if your spokeswoman is correct, not only should pleas for performance-based pay for teachers be tossed into history’s dustbin, so, too, should government schooling itself be abandoned – for we can have no reliable evidence that it is serving its stated purpose of educating children.

EXISTENCE OF EVIL

New book out about does evil exist. Author attempts to see difference between true EVIL and mere sinfulness. Author concludes if there is no God, of the Judeo-Christian concept, there can be no evil. If all is matter, materialism, or nature, pantheism, then there is no such thing as evil. All is meaningless, materialism, or just natural, pantheism, then adding a higher concept, like evil, is total nonsense. Only if the Judeo-Christian God exists does evil exist. Analyzing the meaning of that has occupied man for 5,000 years and is far beyond a few comments here.

US News & World Report last year: “We need to make sure that …[e]ventually, we can get to a system where an electric company will be able [sic] to hold back some of the power so that maybe your air conditioner won’t operate at its peak, you’ll still be able to cool your house, but that’ll be a savings to the consumer.” (emphasis added)

Rosenberg and Birdzell summarize an indispensable key to western economic growth: “The West’s sustained economic growth began with the emergence of an economic sphere with a high degree of autonomy from political and religious control.” In other words, our prosperity flowered only when the state started resisting the urge to do “something.” It’s scary that the economy’s autonomy from political control is now shrinking fast.

VICTIMS OF COMMUNISM DAY - MAY 1ST

May Day is now a soft and cuddly day celebrating Fabian socialism, big labor unions and now, illegal immigration. Let us remember what May Day is really about for the last 75 years - the Red banners of May Day stand for bloody Communism. We should interpret the Red as representing the blood of communism’s victims.

May Day began as a holiday for socialists and labor union activists, not just communists. But over time, the date was taken over by the Soviet Union and other communist regimes and used as a propaganda tool to prop up their regimes. I suggest that we instead use it as a day to commemorate those regimes’ millions of victims. The authoritative Black Book of Communism estimates the total at 80 to 100 million dead, greater than that caused by all other twentieth century tyrannies combined. We appropriately have a Holocaust Memorial Day. It is equally appropriate to commemorate the victims of the twentieth century’s other great totalitarian tyranny. And May Day is the most fitting day to do so. I suggest that May Day be turned into Victims of Communism Day....
And today we are ruled by ‘regime’ politicians who revere Marx, Alinsky and Mao. We may soon need more red on the American flag.
