Where’s Churchill?

Where’s Churchill?

The very attributes that Baldwin and Chamberlain disliked in Churchill – his rashness, his simplicity, his buccaneer spirit- fitted him far better to events ( World War II) than did all their cool reasonableness. As Dwight Eisenhower admitted, “ he (Churchill) rarely failed to inject into most conferences some element of emotion.”  Do we need a Churchill today instead of cool cat Obama?  These are the times that try men’s souls. What think you?

YOU WILL COMPLY

According to Wayne Crews, who makes an annual estimate of the cost of compliance with federal regulations alone, “Costs for Americans to comply with federal regulations reached $1.863 trillion in 2013”—which is equivalent to more than 13 percent of national income. Compliance with state and local government regulations surely adds a large amount to Crews’s estimate for federal compliance alone. No one needs to tell Americans, however, how onerous and exasperating the entire mass of government regulations and related red tape has become. Virtually every part of economic and social life now bears these heavy burdens, and any truly meaningful appraisal of the size of government today must take them into consideration along with the amounts the various governments are spending.

THE SECOND COMING

    William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)
       THE SECOND COMING
    Turning and turning in the widening gyre
    The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
    Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
    The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
    The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity.
    Surely some revelation is at hand;
    Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
    The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
    When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
    Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
    A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
    A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
    Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
    Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.
    The darkness drops again but now I know
    That twenty centuries of stony sleep
    Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
    And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
    Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

BARBECUERS AS ‘ENVIORMENTAL CRIMINALS’

BARBECUERS AS ‘ENVIORMENTAL CRIMINALS’
The Environmental Protection Agency has its eyes on pollution from backyard barbecues.
The agency announced that it is funding a University of California project to limit emissions resulting in grease drippings with a special tray to catch them and a “catalytic” filtration system.
The $15,000 project has the “potential for global application,” said the school.
The school said that the technology they will study with the EPA grant is intended to reduce air pollution and cut the health hazards to BBQ “pit masters” from propane-fueled cookers.
Charged with keeping America’s air, water and soil clean, the EPA has been increasingly looking at homeowners, especially their use of pollution emitting tools like lawn mowers.
Their budget is obviously too big.

But I’m not the only one feeling the spirit of rebellion here: Lawmaker calls for a rebellion against EPA pollution emissions for backyard barbecues. “‘The idea that the EPA wants to find their way into our back yards, where we’re congregating with our neighbors, having a good time, on the 4th of July, barbecuing pork steak or hamburgers, is ridiculous and it’s emblematic of agency that’s sort of out of control,’ Schmitt said.”

HOW MUCH IT SOUNDS LIKE ‘OBAMAOLOGY’ – WE MUST VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION TO SAVE THE CONSTITUTION

HOW MUCH IT SOUNDS LIKE ‘OBAMAOLOGY’ – WE MUST VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION TO SAVE THE CONSTITUTION.
Robespierre, the French Revolutionary explained:  The Republic, he explained, was the hope of mankind; if it disappeared, tyranny would prevail forever; thus, in order to preserve liberty, it was necessary to suppress it temporarily.  That line of reasoning, for all its self-evident fallacy, has continued to have enormous appeal.

In the name of their ideology they sent cartfuls of aristocrats, priests, and assorted opponents to the guillotine, it was, they considered, for a good reason, and no one was more coldly logical, or more blood-chillingly threatening.

Mysterious spy cameras collecting data at post offices in Colorado

DENVER — Within an hour of a KDVR reporter discovering a hidden camera, which was positioned to capture and record the license plates and facial features of customers leaving a Denver post office, the device was ripped from the ground and disappeared.
Investigative reporter Chris Halsne confirmed the hidden camera and recorder is owned and operated by the United States Postal Inspection Service, the law enforcement branch of the U.S. Postal Service.
The recording device appeared to be tripped by any vehicle leaving the property on Johnson Road, but the lens was not positioned to capture images of the front door, employee entrance, or loading dock areas of the post office.
A customer first noticed the data collection device, hidden inside a utilities box, around Thanksgiving 2014. It stayed in place, taking photos through the busy Christmas holidays and into mid-January.
Managers inside the post office tell KDVR they were unaware customers were being photographed outside and that the surveillance was not part of the building’s security monitoring.
A spokesperson for Postal Inspection Service declined to address the specific reason for the domestic surveillance, but admitted the agency had a “number of cameras at their disposal.”

GUILTY = OBAMA-HOLDER-JUSTICE DEPARTMENT-SHARPTON-JACKSON-NEWS MEDIA-RIOTERS-“ACTIVISTS”
THE WAGES OF RABBLE-ROUSING: Two police officers shot in Ferguson, Missouri, after chief quits. “Two police officers were shot during a protest outside Ferguson, Missouri, police headquarters early on Thursday, police said, just hours after the city’s police chief quit following a damning U.S. Justice Department report into his force. . . ‘These police officers were standing there (shades of NYC) and they were shot, just because they were police officers.’”

The Administration, and its media allies, chose for political reasons to push the false “hands up don’t shoot” narrative. This is the result.

WORLD’S SMARTEST MAN & WORLD’S SMARTEST WOMAN

WORLD’S SMARTEST MAN & WORLD’S SMARTEST WOMAN
WORLD’S Smartest Woman (Hillary) uses illegal email account in communicating with World’s Smartest Man (Barack) for 4 years and he finds out about it, as usual, by reading newspaper.  Maybe he never read anything she sent – too busy with golf & hoops.
Or maybe they both lie.

“At the White House, spokesman Josh Earnest said President Barack Obama indeed knew she was using a nongovernment account during her tenure. Obama had indicated earlier that he only learned of that from recent news reports.”

IF CONSERVATIVES COULD CONTROL THE NEWSPAPERS, WE COULD CONTROL EVERYTHING THE ‘WORLD’S SMARTEST MAN’ KNOWS!

DID CHAIRMAN MAO HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA: CLOSE THE SCHOOLS AND SEND THE PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS TO THE COUNTRYSIDE TO PLANT RICE FOR 10 YEARS.

DID CHAIRMAN MAO HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA:  CLOSE THE SCHOOLS AND SEND THE PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS TO THE COUNTRYSIDE TO PLANT RICE FOR 10 YEARS.
A decision by the student body government of the University of California at Irvine to ban the display of all flags – including the United States flag – has been vetoed.
According to the Associated Press, the university’s executive cabinet has voted to overturn the ban, which prompted outrage nationwide and led one state legislator to consider an amendment to the California constitution to ensure the American flag could be flown on the campuses of state schools.
On one hand, the now-vetoed decision to ban the American flag had the feel of student government run amok, as budding iconoclasts tried to make a statement about the moral complexities they’re learning in History 101. Flags are “flown in instances of colonialism and imperialism” and they “serve as symbols of patriotism or weapons for nationalism,” the statement explaining the original ban noted.
Yet the move, short-lived though it was, speaks to more than an only-in-California spasm of 20-something intellectual angst. More broadly, it points to a generational shift in the notion of what patriotism is.
To the extent — probably small — that this is true, it’s the Gramscian Long March bearing fruit. But I think that when people don’t like things that happen on campus, they should feel free to go to the campuses and protest them. Burst the bubble: The protest thing works both ways. I think a nice Rolling Thunder-style flag-decked motorcycle protest through the UC Irvine campus would send the message that there are a lot of people who feel differently than the SJW-dominated student government. As our President says, get in their face.

unsatisfied citizens

Third Party?

If Republicans don’t win big in 2016 and then proceed to make big changes in our governance (with courage, boldness and an uncompromising spirit), the loss will be a MANDATE for a third party.  The unsatisfied citizens ( and a large percentage of us including the tea party  will still be out here) won’t go away. The death of a good thing will not be taken lightly. We will rage into the night. It might take a few years to gain strength, but the alternative?  Did you know Republicans have lost the popular vote in 5 of the last 6 Presidential elections? Making it a 6th out of 7 – unacceptable.

"The trouble with conservatives,"

M. STANTON EVAN DIES AT 80

"The trouble with conservatives," Evans once observed, according to Edwards, "is that too many of them come to Washington thinking they are going to drain the swamp, only to discover that Washington is a hot tub."

TYPICAL LIBERALS

TYPICAL LIBERALS
TYPICAL LIBERAL COMMENTS ABOUT BIBI’S SPEECH TO CONGRESS CONTRADICT REALITY. ISRAEL’S PRIME MINISTER DID NOT NEED OBAMA’S APPROVAL BECAUSE THERE ARE (SURPRISE) 3 SEPARATE & CO-EQUAL BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT).
ANYWAY, KNOW THAT ACCORDING TO ‘THEM,’ GREATNESS IS THEATRE.  TO THEM, A GREAT MAN DELIVERING A GREAT SPEECH IS JUST THEATRE, JUST LIKE JESUS ON THE CROSS, GREATNESS PERSONIFIED, WAS ( IS) JUST THEATRE!

ALL WE CAN HOPE FOR IS THAT LIBERALS EAT THEIR OWN HEARTS OUT OVER THIS GREAT THEATRE.

Sound familiar?

Sound familiar?

A familiar Communist pattern is seizing upon some incident, embroidering thereon without regard to truth and accuracy to form the basis for an almost hysterical campaign of vituperation.  Mao and Stalin employed all the tools of a totalitarian state – the press, propaganda apparatus, the howling mobs…to persecute the defenseless ideological victim who was persecuted by means of  isolation from emotional or legal help (and often family and friends).  Sound familiar?  Yes, Communists exaggerated unto death these political actions, but Obama administration employs these tactics to a lesser degree which increases daily. Think about it.
