Where was Obama?

TIME TO HONOR THE FALLEN According to General George S. Patton, “Duty is the essence of manhood.” Obama has failed the test. The Benghazi cover-up just exposes his lack of character and abandonment of duty - the first duty of our Commander-in-Chief being to preserve and protect American citizens from harm. Our Vice-President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta have also let us down. Biden’s lack of respect for one fallen hero in the Libyan Al-Qaeda terrorist attack on September 11, was evidenced in his callous question to a father about whether the size of his son’s balls were always cue balls. Hillary’s lack of respect for one fallen hero was evidenced by her promise to a parent to arrest and prosecute the film maker of the video the Obama administration claimed was responsible for the attack. Of course, the video was not the cause of the 9/11 commemorative attack and the administration knew it, but the video is the cause celebre for scoring political points. Defense Secretary Panetta’s defense of government inaction during the attack is offensive because he claims there was “insufficient evidence.” It is now known that ‘live video’ was streaming directly to the White House. Obama’s lack of respect was evidenced in his statement that the Benghazi situation was “not optimal” and in his disinterested demeanor at the coming home ceremony for three dead Americans and one murdered ambassador. So how do we honor the fallen when they continue to fall victim to the hubris and hedonism of this administration? Wow! That’s a tough question. Two thousand warriors have fallen in Afghanistan since Obama became President, 254 this year alone. Also, the man who made the video insulting the prophet Mohammed ( have you seen it on YouTube because actually few have?) is still in jail, his 1st amendment right ignored. The Pakistani doctor who provided intelligence which helped Obama find and kill Osama Bin Laden, is still in jail in Pakistan for 30 years (probably suffering). He was abandoned to his fate so Obama could have a victory lap chanting ‘Obama killed Osama.’ First we must honor the honorable by remaining hopeful and optimistic about the future of our beloved country. We must discredit politicians who dishonor life by championing death in the womb, relativism in love and marriage and sexual promiscuity in youth and who claim racism and victimization and punish success at every opportunity. Secondly, we must get mad as hell vowing not to take it anymore. So much good still lives in our communities by way of charitable acts of mercy and shared values. So much good still plays out in our fellow citizens, responsible to their financial commitments and their families and committed to our enlisted men and women defending our country. Such goodness and generosity are ignored by the national media, of course, but we kn ow they are alive and well here in Fayette county; we know we can find goodness all around America if we look into our churches, local schools and civic organizations. No aid was forthcoming to the besieged Americans in Benghazi having been told to “stand down” after requests for help and backup. In fact, two brave Americans (eventually killed) even ignored orders by entering the fray. Yes, it’s time to honor the fallen. Everything happens at a fixed time according to ECCLESIASTES 3 ( check your Bible to read about times to be born and die, plant and pluck, kill and heal, break down and build up, weep and laugh, mourn and dance, cast away stones and gather stones, embrace and refrain, seek and lose, keep and cast away, rend and sew, keep silent and speak, love and hate, make war and peace. This is the business of God given to sons of men (and women). Now is the time to not look back but look ahead, not to stand down but stand up. Do Americans understand the incredible insult to our greatness and status as an exceptional power in the world represented by our present sickly 1.8% growth in the Gross Domestic Product? Do Americans truly understood the magnitude of 1 trillion dollars in spending and deficits and debt? Do we feel for 23 million fellow Americans who get out of bed each morning without a job? Do we want to be surprised in 2013 by more of our free choices outlawed by a President and First Lady? Our course of action is clear. Now is the time to honor the fallen. How do you plan to do your duty in November?

Barack as Drone

CANADIAN FREE PRESS- even they know what happened “It is undoubtedly worse than Obama simply turned his back on cornered American citizens in a foreign land, knowing undoubtedly they would die. But that Barack did so without any compelling reason—except political—is beyond evil. Only a moral monster would have made that decision when it was within his powers to possibly save them with almost no effort of his own.” “ Obama’s loss of nerve and decision to call off a military strike that could have taken out the Benghazi insurgents, and instead—just letting Americans die an agonizing, lonely death—is the most quintessential aspect of the story. This is because it reveals Barack as he truly is inside—an immoral, gutless, unfeeling, selfish, hypocritical, overly ambitious and hideously uncaring person. Obama ONLY cares about what he personally finds valuable, which obviously does not include individual Americans, or any random human beings.” “Barack is a self-centered, utterly unfeeling, revolution-seeking drone who cannot be bothered with the hard work of genuine leadership. And as terrifying as it sounds, he is a typical Marxist leader who wants to “save humanity,” but finds individuals not important enough to consider. It’s no wonder Barack’s White House loves Mao, a possible role model for crazy, unthinking and ideologically-driven tyranny from the man who murdered 77 million of his own countrymen. Or perhaps Vlad Lenin, first dictator of the USSR is his example, who said—“Any cook should be able to run the country.” Marxists have no respect for democracy, republicanism or capitalism.”

In Progress

PRIORITIES I am totally confused by Obama. To paraphrase Ecclesiastes, there is : A time to sleep, and a time to act. A time to be a statesman, and a time to a be politician. A time to draw the sword, and a time to spout cliches. On September 11th, 2012, while video of the attack on our consulate in Benghazi was being beamed into the White House and our diplomats were missing, President Obama called it a night and retired to sleep at 9PM. No 3AM phone calls for him. He had to jet to Las Vegas the next day to campaign. But on October 25th he tells a campaign crowd in Davenport Iowa "We are going to pull an all-nighter. No sleep," "This is the first stop on our 48-hour fly around, campaign marathon extravaganza," a smiling Obama told supporters. "I think we're all going to be going on adrenaline for the next 36 hours or so. For politics it is “all-nighter” 36 hours on adrenaline. Is there a misplaced priority here? From the waning hours of September 11th, when Obama knew it was a terrorist attack, until the middle of October There is only 1 priority NERO FIDDLED WHILE Rome burned A Time for Everything

Decline and Fall of Obama

BILL CLINTON BLAMES “IMPATIENT” AMERICANS: Daddy Clinton, in a typical elitist, progressive fashion, blames Obama’s plunge in the polls on the stupid ordinary folk for being “impatient” and “not understanding why the economy isn’t hunky dory now.” Too bad we can’t all be as smart and patient as Bill. Posted at 9:53 pm by Elizabeth Price Foley SNARKY, CONDESCENDING, PEEVISH AND SMALL: The essence of the Obama campaign . . . as described by liberal mainstream media. OBAMA: ‘WHEN FOUR AMERICANS GET KILLED, IT’S NOT OPTIMAL:’

OBAMA: ‘WHEN FOUR AMERICANS GET KILLED, IT’S NOT OPTIMAL:’ President Obama, during the taping of The Daily Show, discussed the Benghazi terrorist attack that claimed the lives of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans. “Here’s what I’ll say. When four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal. We’re going to fix it,” Obama said per pool. “The government is a big operation and [at] any given time something screws up,” he also said, saying that he believes “you find out what’s broken and you fix it.” Drudge links a flashback to Obama calling their deaths “bumps in the road,” and it also brings to mind his equally cold-hearted phrase that America could “absorb” another 9/11-sized attack.

OBAMANOMICS ON GAS PRICES

OBAMANOMICS ON GAS PRICES Recovery Means Higher Gas Prices “Well, think about what the governor — think about what the governor just said. He said when I took office, the price of gasoline was $1.80, $1.86. Why is that? Because the economy was on the verge of collapse, because we were about to go through the worst recession since the Great Depression, as a consequence of some of the same policies that Governor Romney’s now promoting. So, it’s conceivable that Governor Romney could bring down gas prices because with his policies, we might be back in that same mess.” Let’s also take Obama’s illogic straight on: If he’s right that an improved economy = higher gas prices, then isn’t he telling us that we can never expect to see gas prices fall again (because of course we all know his policies are causing a “huge recovery”)? That’s comforting– kind of like the statement of his Dep’t of Interior Secretary Steven Chu from Feb, 2012 that the Administration’s goal was “somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe” (around $8/gal.). It isn’t so much what President Obama says (though that is bad enough), it is what he doesn’t say that one has to listen very closely to hear.

Responsibility & Obama are Antonyms

Responsibility & Obama are Antonyms Blogger Jeryl Bier surfs the White House website and illustrates the point dramatically: "The last time the words 'I take responsibility' appear on the website is July 6, 2011, in the transcript of the president's Twitter Town Hall. By contrast, during that same time period, the phrase 'got us into this mess in the first place' appears 86 times," almost always referring to someone else.

Obama call forwards to Hillary

HEH: So, now we know what happens when the phone rings at 3 AM in the White House. Obama call forwards to Hillary. ALSO: By Associated Press, WASHINGTON — The State Department said Tuesday it never concluded that the consulate attack in Libya stemmed from protests over an American-made video ridiculing Islam, raising further questions about why the Obama administration used that explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans....... The administration counters that it has provided its best intelligence on the attack, and that it refined its explanation as more information came to light. But five days after the attack, Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, gave a series of interviews saying the administration believed the violence was unplanned and that extremists with heavier weapons “hijacked” the protest and turned it into an outright attack.

“No Child Gets Ahead,”

Better to let the government take over all that stuff. Now that’s “progress”! EDUCATION REFORM, PROGRESSIVE STYLE: Ban homework. I kid you not. Progressive French President François Hollande has proposed banning all homework in his quest to achieve the ever-elusive “social justice.” According to the Wall Street Journal:

Liberals believe some are more equal than others: "The Florida State Board of Education passed a plan that sets goals for students in math and reading based upon their race," reports CBS Radio's Tampa affiliate: “On Tuesday, the board passed a revised strategic plan that says that by 2018, it wants 90 percent of Asian students, 88 percent of white students, 81 percent of Hispanics and 74 percent of black students to be reading at or above grade level. For math, the goals are 92 percent of Asian kids to be proficient, whites at 86 percent, Hispanics at 80 percent and blacks at 74 percent.”

psychopathic serial killers

I can’t quite put my finger on who in current politics this reminds me of: “Traits that are common among psychopathic serial killers—a grandiose sense of self-worth, persuasiveness, superficial charm, ruthlessness, lack of remorse and the manipulation of others—are also shared by politicians and world leaders. Individuals, in other words, running not from the police. But for office. Such a profile allows those who present with these traits to do what they like when they like, completely unfazed by the social, moral or legal consequences of their actions.”

Next Debate Topics Announced. Unfortunately for Obama, the Minaj/Carey Feud is Not on the List

Next Debate Topics Announced. Unfortunately for Obama, the Minaj/Carey Feud is Not on the List by BRYAN PRESTON October 13, 2012 - 11:22 am President Obama spent his valuable time this morning weighing in on the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey feud. No, I’m not making that up for the sake of a joke. It’s a real story. Earlier today, President Obama called into Y100s Michael YO! Show, where he weighed in on a very serious topic plaguing the pop world – the American Idol fight between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. What better person to give their opinion on the American Idol spat, other than the top American himself. The president told Y100 that he believes that the two can work out their differences. When asked how Obama thinks he would do on the reality show, he confessed that he thinks he’ll stick to his dayjob. Which apparently consists of doing NCAA brackets, hoping Teddy wins a staged mascot race, and urging two useless divas to work out their differences. I haven’t considered the Minaj/Carey feud worthy of my time here blogging. But President Obama thinks it’s worth his time as President of the United States. Meanwhile, CNN says the topics for the second presidential debate have been announced. None of the above weightless topics are on the list. Similar to the first debate between Obama and Romney, the debate will be broken into six 10-minute segments. Two of those segments will focus on the first topic, “The Changing Middle East and the New Face of Terrorism,” the CPD statement said. The other regional topics are “Our longest war – Afghanistan and Pakistan,” “Red Lines – Israel and Iran,” and “The Rise of China and Tomorrow’s World.” “America’s role in the world” is the fifth topic. The CPD said the topics may be raised in any order. It’s obvious now why Barack Obama cares so much about Big Bird. He never really grew up

$81,690.14 PER TIP government efficiency at work!

$81,690.14 PER TIP government efficiency at work! $5.8 Mil “Text Against Terror” Fails To Provide Any Tips October 12, 2012 Judicial Watch Weekly Update: The U.S. government has blown nearly $6 million on an experimental “anti-terrorism” program in New Jersey that encourages the public to send tips via text message from their cellular phones. Since it was launched in mid-2011, the federally-funded “Text Against Terror” project has produced no credible tips, according to a local newspaper report that reveals the feds have poured $5.8 million into the initiative. Police in New Jersey claim 307 tips have been texted so far and that includes people “testing the system.” The taxpayer dollars have paid for advertising time on local radio and television as well as fliers and ads on buses an A review of more than a year of fusion center reports nationwide determined that they were irrelevant, useless or inappropriate. Of the 307 text messages, 71 “referred to something regarding homeland security,” according to the New Jersey police chief quoted in the story. The majority of the 71 texts were investigated, the chief says, and “eliminated as a cause for concern.” In other words, the costly program, funded with a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) public awareness grant, is a cash cow that’s accomplished nothing. Wait until they roll out this SUCCESS to other states!

The Misuse of Top 1 Percent Income Shares as a Measure of Inequality

The Misuse of Top 1 Percent Income Shares as a Measure of Inequality by Alan Reynolds Alan Reynolds is a Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute. This paper confirms recent studies which find little or no sustained increase in the inequality of disposable income for the U.S. population as a whole over the past 20 years, even though estimates of the top 1 percent's share of pretax, pretransfer (market) income spiked upward in 1986-88, 1997-2000 and 2003-2007. It has become commonplace to use top 1 percent shares of market income as a shorthand measure of inequality, and as an argument for greater taxes on higher incomes and/or larger transfer payments to the bottom 90 percent. This paper finds the data inappropriate for such purposes for several reasons: Excluding rapidly increased transfer payments and employer-financed benefits from total income results in exaggerating the rise in the top 1 percent's share between 1979 and 2010 by 23 percent because a growing share of other income is missing. Using estimates of the top 1 percent's share of pretax, pretransfer income (Piketty and Saez 2003) as an argument for higher tax rates on top incomes or larger transfer payments to others is illogical and contradictory because the data exclude taxes and transfers. Using highly cyclical top 1 percent shares as a measure of overall inequality leads, paradoxically, to describing most recessions as a welcome reduction in inequality, because poverty and unemployment rates typically rise when the top 1 percent's share falls, and fall when the top 1 percent's share rises. Top 1 percent incomes are shown to be extremely sensitive (“elastic†) to changes in the highest tax rates on ordinary income, capital gains and dividends. Although estimates of the elasticity of ordinary income for the top 1 percent range from 0.62 (Saez 2004) to 1.99 (Moffitt and Wilhelm), those estimates fail to account for demonstrably dramatic responses to changes in the highest tax rate on capital gains and dividends. I estimate that more than half of the increase in the top 1 percent's share of pretax, pretransfer income since 1983, and all of the increase since 2000, is attributable to behavioral reactions to lower marginal tax rates on salaries, unincorporated businesses, dividends and capital gains. After reviewing numerous data sources, I find no compelling evidence of any large and sustained increase in the inequality of disposable income over the past two decades D

Did he miss any other adjectives that describe Biden?

Did he miss any other adjectives that describe Biden? Vice President Tommy Udo October 12, 2012 - 1:13 pm - by Michael Walsh In the wake of last night’s bizarre vice-presidential debate, the takeaway notion is clear: an insane person is currently a heartbeat away from the White House. A giggling, mugging, eye-rolling, head-shaking lunatic, who was clearly under instruction from his political masters to go out there and show the country that the Left is not just a bunch of kumbaya kommie pansies but real red-blooded all-Americans, the kind of guys you’d want to be in a bar fight with He’s Tommy Udo in Kiss of Death. And the kiss of death is what he just gave to the Obama campaign. The Democrats were right about that wheelchair thing; they just had the wrong guy pushing it.

BLINDNESS OF LIBERALISM & SHERROD BROWN

BLINDNESS OF LIBERALISM & SHERROD BROWN E.J. Dionne encourages Pres. Obama to follow the lead of Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) (“Sherrod Brown’s lessons for Obama,” Oct. 11). Mr. Dionne admires Sen. Brown’s “uncompromising advocacy on behalf of workers.” This admiration is misplaced. Sen. Brown’s fanatical hostility to trade – what Mr. Dionne calls his “toughness on trade” – emphatically harms most workers. It does so by raising workers’ costs of living (the whole point of tariffs is to raise prices); by destroying jobs that are supported by free trade (foreigners sell to us only because they want to buy from us, or to invest in our economy); and by stifling economic growth (protecting today’s jobs from competition necessarily obstructs the economy’s capacity to create tomorrow’s jobs – hardly “progressive”!). But because the dispersed many who are harmed by protectionism are far less visible than are the concentrated few who benefit, Sen. Brown easily dupes a columnist who judges each policy only by its surface effects into regarding the senator as heroic – into admiring as “toughness” what in fact is simply Sen. Brown’s abhorrent bullying of consumers into spending their money as he, Sherrod Brown, selfishly and arrogantly demands that it be spent. Sincerely, Donald J. Then the second paragraph get to what really galls Obama and Progressives, how they layed waste to the land and abused the natives. This time ‘we did do that’ and it was genocide: “When the explorers laid anchor in the Bahamas, they met indigenous peoples who had inhabited the Western hemisphere for millennia. As we reflect on the tragic burdens tribal communities bore in the years that followed, let us commemorate the many contributions they have made to the American experience, and let us continue to strengthen the ties that bind us today.”

OLLECTIVE EFFORT TO ENSURE EVERYONE THE SAME

SOCIALISM IN REALITY COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO ENSURE EVERYONE THE SAME Annika Eriksson, a lunch lady at school in Falun, Sweden was told that her cooking is just too good. Pupils at the school have become accustomed to feasting on newly baked bread and an assortment of 15 vegetables at lunchtime, but now the good times are over. The municipality has ordered Eriksson to bring it down a notch since other schools do not receive the same calibre of food - and that is "unfair". "A menu has been developed... It is about making a collective effort on quality, to improve school meals overall and to try and ensure everyone does the same," Katarina Lindberg, head of the unit responsible for the school diet scheme, told the local Falukuriren newspaper. "It has been claimed that we have been spoiled and that it's about time we do as everyone else," Eriksson said. She insisted, however, that her creative cooking has not added to the municipality's expenses. From now on, the school's vegetable buffet will be halved in size and Eriksson's handmade loafs will be replaced with store-bought bread.

Obama’s prohibitive coolness/

GET YOUR DICTIONARY & READ The Shield Cracks Rick Wilson  12 hours ago When the hermetic, perfect world created in 2008 came into being, the Lightbringer at its center was protected from the moment of his nomination in a kind of numinous cloud of cultural, media and elite opinion protection. Jokes about Obama, well...they just weren't funny. “It’s hard to make fun of Obama in general because he’s a cool character," said Jimmy Kimmel. Noah Rothman called it "Obama’s prohibitive coolness." Criticism of his policies and politics were obviously racist in nature...what other explanation could possibly obtain? Mockery of his pomposity, his flagrant sense of personal grandeur, his Administration-as-personality-cult was a product of Republican sour grapes (and, duh, racism). .... The cracks in the Acela Corridor's Barack Protection Protocol are showing because Obama's most compelling attribute was the belief that his intellectual prowess is unmatched by any President, perhaps any mortal. A cornerstone of their faith in him was always that Barack Obama's intellectual firepower could be deployed at will, and destroy Mitt Romney at a time and place of the President's choosing. What they saw Wednesday night wasn't the demigod they've protected like so many cultural Myrmidons, but a stammering, detached, utterly outclassed man hoisted on the petard of his own laziness and incuriousity. The damage to their perception of him isn't enough to draw them to Romney, but in their post-modern, super-ironic world, the moment Obama showed weakness, he became a legitimate target. ... As the dozens of snarky articles, brutal editorial cartoons, late night comedy shows taking new and unaccustomed shots at Obama (I'm not counting Chris Matthews and his epic rant) build up a certain cultural momentum, the sense that Obama's failings are suddenly funny is a deadly virus in the bloodstream of liberal opinion. Barack Obama is a man of abundantly evident self-regard. The growing sound of mockery and derision must be painful to him, especially coming from the unexpected quarters of his erstwhile allies. Once the mockery starts, it's hard to stop. Ask Bill Clinton. The clues of an Obama meltdown in high-, low- and even pop-culture tell me that the next debates for Obama aren't just consequential: they're existential.

There's more: While in 2008, 33 percent of the 1,158,301 absentee ballots went to Democrats and just 19 percent to registered Republicans, a 14-point gap, this year 29 percent are being requested by Democrats and 24 percent by Republicans, a five-point gap http://nalert.blogspot.com/

Debate was Unfair

Debate was unfair: 1. Obama could not have TOTUS (Teleprompter of the U. S.) on stage. 2. Moderator asked him questions that were not pre-screened. 3. He was not allowed to have 2 media members on stage. One pre-answer the question and the other to explain the brilliance of Obama’s lame answer. 4. Debate was 1 ½ hrs. but Obama can only think in terms of 30 sec. soundbites 5. Audience was not allowed to scream, boo or faint or show adulation 6. Romney “talked back” to him. 7. Jim Lehrer, the moderator was not a hot babe. 8. There were real Americans in the audience and not his suck-ups. 9. There was no ‘Affirmative Action’ edge allowed. 10. Romney was channeling Reagan. Obama was channeling Biden.

OBAMA'S BUTT WHIPPED

Even Obama’s pundits, media supporters and ideological comrades running cover for Obama could only assures us that “government is needed to unify us.” Not so. Freedom is needed to diversify us. Romney shattered the crystal icon. Forward to the 2nd debate.

Too Many Battery Factories, Too Few Electric Cars The $2.4 billion program designed to jump-start the battery industry has met with horrible market conditions. In August 2009, President Obama announced a $2.4 billion grant program designed to create an electric vehicle battery industry in the United States. Three years on, the factories funded by those grants are sitting idle or operating well below their originally intended capacity. The problem is simple. People aren't buying enough electric cars, and most of those that are being sold contain batteries made by established battery makers in Asia. KEVIN BULLIS Tuesday, October 2, 2012

“Let me be clear” how to watch Obama debate:

“Let me be clear” how to watch Obama debate: Hugh Hewitt Columnist Washington Examiner How Obama drones on President Obama has a number of "poker tells" which he displays when answering questions. They betray an increasing distance between his reply and the truth. Talk show hosts love when the president gives one of his very rare press conference or any other occasion when he is off prompter. That is when these "tells" surface, giving all veteran Obama observers the verbal heads-up that the president has entered the land of thinly disguised fantasy or obvious dissembling. First, the president begins a pattern of "ahs" and "uhmms" which are as embarrassing as they are revealing. The awkward pausing punctuated by these semi-stutters increases in frequency as the president senses his own flailing about. Next, the president begins filibustering. His average length of answer in every press conference is already epic, but he has been getting worse as the presidency has dragged on. Pressers are not battles between the "reporters" and the president. Very few not named Jake or Ed bother the president with fastballs. The struggle is simply between the president and the effort he has to land the plane anywhere near where it took off, so far does he wander as he rambles through the minutes he is obliged to spend appearing to take questions. The president will allegedly be subject to time limits on Wednesday night, but his contempt for most such rules almost guarantees he will blow through every limit and dare the moderator or Mitt Romney to challenge him. If either does, we will be treated to "tell No. 4," the president's feigned outrage that anyone would interrupt or question him. When this happens, his countenance displays a disapproving sneer and his voice clouds with displeasure. It is practiced. It is also profoundly anti-democratic and arrogant, and if he plays this card on this stage, it will backfire. Watch as well for nonresponsive self-pity, verbal essays on how difficult it was when he took over and how hard he has been working. Self-pity and self-regard are not designed to endear him to the unemployed or even the economically fragile, so he will be coached to try to avoid displaying his sense of outrage at being thought a failure or "in over his head," but the president's sense of his own immensity is so great as to blow past such base political calculations. Finally, watch for the parade of straw men, the president's favorite rhetorical trick. He will set up arguments that have never been made in the service of Republican goals that have never existed, and then he will denounce both. If the appearance of a straw man serves as a trigger in a drinking game, many bottles will empty by the end of Debate No. 1. So the president enters the debate a prohibitive favorite to clobber Mitt Romney. But if Benghazi or the unemployment rate surfaces, if the president's failure to remedy joblessness, spark a serious recovery, or in any way pose an obstacle to Iran's nuclear ambitions are brought up in the course of Wednesday night's first big debate, then watch for these verbal ticks and know that Romney is scoring.
