GOVERNMENT KNOWS BEST

The slightly better version of this argument, which is that voters will like ObamaCare better once it's passed and they get used to it,isn't very convincing either.

Albert Camus said: "The welfare of humanity is always the alibi of tyrants." Prohibition is force. I prefer persuasion. Government force has nasty unintended consequences.

NANNY WINS AGAIN: Because parents are not smart enough “ a camera sensor built into the television’s bottom bezel detects if a child comes within one meter or about 40". After a couple of seconds, an alarm is triggered and the screen will go dark, displaying a message telling the child to back away.”

Consider the Possibility That Congress Isn't Very Smart"--headline, The American Prospect Web site, March 8
