GOVERNMENT KNOWS BEST

1. Suit: Pa. school spied on students via laptops
By MARYCLAIRE DALE (AP)
PHILADELPHIA — A federal lawsuit accuses a suburban Philadelphia school district of spying on students at home through school-issued laptop webcams.
The suit says Lower Merion School District officials can activate the webcams remotely without students' knowledge. The lawsuit alleges the cameras captured images of Harriton High School students and their families as they undressed and in other compromising situations.
Families learned of the alleged webcam images when an assistant principal spoke to a student about inappropriate behavior at home.
Superintendent Christopher W. McGinley did not immediately return a message left by The Associated Press.

2. What about Joe Biden – if he were suspected of criminal activity, would he even be competent to stand trial? What are his qualifications to be next in line for the Presidency? Nobody ever seems to ask.

3. Republican Mitt Romney launched a withering series of attacks against President Obama Thursday in his first major speech since the 2008 election, saying the president has “failed the American people.”Republican Mitt Romney launched a withering series of attacks against President Obama Thursday in his first major speech since the 2008 election, saying the president has “failed the American people.”

4. IDEAL JOB LISTING FOR OBAMA: "Exelon is looking to provide these proposals to Chinese businesses, so someone who is respectful and understands Chinese culture is preferred. An arrogant American will not work well in this role," the listing read. Who better than Obama dislikes Americans.

5. Regarding Obama’s Nominalism “presumably, that it's now going to be more like an improved formula for dishwashing detergent. But don't laugh. It does mean something. It means the President thinks switching labels is doing something.” I assume he has core beliefs--he talks like he does anyway, but he doesn't act on them. He's neither hot nor cold. He isn't living up to liberal beliefs (which admittedly I would hate) but doesn't have the guts to admit he was wrong about anything (Guantanamo? trials in NY?). Really, he's Bush in liberal clothing. He talks the talk, but he doesn't walk the walk. Bush talked conservative ideals but then exploded the government-size.

7. Politics: Proles Have Gotten Under the Egalitarians’ Skin. “Progressivism purports to protect the toiling and exploited masses from the amoral rapacity of big banks, big insurance, big tobacco, and whatnot. It must be exceedingly frustrating to have the toiling and exploited masses turn against the policies you have designed for their own good. . . . The Tea Party proles who reject the interference, reject also the premise that the Obama administration and its progressive supporters constitute a superior class: America’s would-be overseers really are no better than anyone else. For those who profess to care about equality, this must be terribly hard to hear.”
