TRUST YOUR LEADERS?

1. “The joke here is that we elect conservatives to state office because we don’t want them to spend our money, and liberals to national office because we want them to spend other peoples money” Robert Port of North Dakota

2. Regarding Obama’s qualification to comment on Einstein theory: “Sorry Dr. Tipler, but you must be wrong, you are only a physicist , Obama is a god.”

3. Now another headline grabbing IPCC scare story is melting away. A report in Sunday’s London Times highlights new humiliations for the IPCC.
The most important is a claim that global warming could cut rain-fed north African crop production by up to 50% by 2020, a remarkably short time for such a dramatic change. The claim has been quoted in speeches by Rajendra Pachauri, the IPCC chairman, and by Ban Ki-moon, the UN secretary-general.
There is however one teensy-weensy little problem. As Professor Chris Field, the lead author of the IPCC’s climate impact team has now told reporters that he can find “no evidence” to support the claim in the IPCC’s 2007 report.

4. Carolyn McLaughlin opines : Sir Edward Grey, British Foreign Secretary at the beginning of World War I said that “The lamps are going out all over Europe; we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime.” Yes, I say, the lamps of sanity and reason are going out all over America; we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime, unless the sparks of the conservative revolution, “young, fresh and fragile (in Sarah Palin’s words) are not kept alive and allowed to flame.
