EXPERTS AND DEEP THINKERS (HO,HO,HO)

1 I’VE SUSPECTED THAT THIS WHOLE “ELECTROSENSITIVITY” THING WAS CRAP, but here’s some evidence: “Residents in Craigavon, South Africa complained of ‘[h]eadaches, nausea, tinnitus, dry burning itchy skins, gastric imbalances and totally disrupted sleep patterns’ after an iBurst communications tower was put up in a local park. Symptoms subsided when the residents left the area, often to stay with family and thus evade their suffering. At a public meeting with the afflicted locals, the tower’s owners pledged to switch off the mast immediately to assess whether it was responsible for their ailments. One problem: the mast had already been switched off for six weeks. Lawyers representing the locals say their case against iBurst will continue on other grounds.” Note even though the facts contradict the theory and alleged injuries the lawyers move ahead following the scent of money for nothing.

2. “A good catchword can obscure analysis for fifty years.” (Holmes) This certainly is shown in #1 above.

3 “...please do not construe the crap to apply to religion in general. Even as an atheist, I still find that the only instruction of social morality comes from religion.” How odd. If there is no God and we are just little bundles of electrified matter how could there be such a thing as ‘morality’? Matter has no meaning, no ethics, no morals and no destination; therefore why should our energized matter have any concern with right and wrong. Even an atheist cries out for meaning and a personal God.

4. ‘Obesity is an indication of poverty’, or ‘ 1/3 of Americans experience hunger on a daily basis’ and ‘ 1/3 of America is obese’. Don’t the experts who spout such nonsense ever compare notes? As an Indian immigrant said “ I want to live in a country where poor people are obese”’ obviously he had a firmer grip on reality than the ‘experts’.
