IS IT IN THE ‘NATIONAL INTEREST’ TO CONTINUE GOV’T PROGRAMS THAT ARE FAILURES? Eliminating gov't programs that don't work, would be catastrophic in its consequences. Real-estate in the D.C. area would plummet, gov't job losses would stagger the imagination, gov't employee unions would be gutted, "friend of the gov't" contracts at places like Solyndra would be gone. Gone, just gone. The Horror! All these horrors would be inflicted just to put money back into taxpayers pockets, unthinkable!
