CAROLYN MCLAUGHLIN FREEDOMS ‘NEW’ MEANING Happy New Year 2013! The smell of freedom is in the air since the dropping of the ball in Times Square, New York. First I heard John Lennon’s song, “Imagine,” dreaming of a “world without religion, then Frank Sinatra singing ( the traditional “NY, NY”), finally, two gay men kissed. Elsewhere, a state passed a law that you can BYOP ( bring your own pot) into a bar. Smells like freedom to me. Freedom to smoke weed, to marry anyone, to follow the liberal agenda, but NOT to choose any other path now that Obama leads us down a dark road.
